Emergency lighting provide emergency light when the normal system fails to work. This can be due to a power shortage or a fault in the system or more serious causes such as fire, lightning or flooding.
Signalling lights are obligatory under many laws but especially under the European Standard UNI EN 1838. They are crucial in guaranteeing the signalling of the correct escape route. The signalling lights have to be installed so that they are clearly visible in everypoint of the escape route and must clearly show the route itself.
The emergency kits are kits composed of an electronic ballast and a battery and they allow the use of emergency lighting through the normal ceiling light fixture. This has the advantage of using the same light source both for the emergency and standard lighting and means that they are practically invisible to the eye whilst guaranteeing practicality and efficiency.
